Ingwe or Inyoka? Choosing Your Cabin

The Cabins

Both of iKhayalamafu’s cabins share the same bones: full kitchen, fireplace, braai, a patio built for outdoor dining, and views straight onto forest and mountain. Wi-Fi reaches both, for the moments you actually want it. So the real question isn’t which cabin is “better”: it’s which view you’d rather wake up to.

Inyoka is the cosy one. Tucked into the indigenous forest right next to a babbling stream, it makes for a quieter, more enclosed kind of stay. The sound of running water is the whole point for a lot of guests who book it.

Ingwe trades the stream for a wide, open view of the Little Berg from its own private deck, a different kind of quiet, with the same fireplace-and-braai evenings and the same trailhead a few steps away.

Neither cabin has a bad version of the view; it genuinely comes down to whether it’s the sound of running water you want to fall asleep to, or a wide mountain view instead. Both welcome two guests, come stocked the same way, and start the same trails from the same kind of quiet. This is a romantic, adults-only escape either way, not a family base camp.

Still torn? Ask us. We know both cabins well enough to make the call for you based on what you’re actually looking for out of the stay.
